Jean Yarbrough, Bowdoin’s Gary M. Pendy Professor in Social Sciences, recently brought her research and insight into President Theodore Roosevelt to Yale University.
Yarbrough, author of Theodore Roosevelt and the American Political Tradition (University Press of Kansas, 2014), says she spoke of “why, despite certain admirable policy stances, Theodore Roosevelt is not a reliable guide for present day conservatives.”
Yarbrough was invited by Yale’s William F. Buckley Program, whose mission is to promote intellectual and political diversity.
