Sixteen people on campus who previously had long, naturally colored hair have sporty new cuts in time for summer. They were the students and staff who stopped by the Sail Room last week to donate more than eight inches of their hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an organization that makes free wigs for cancer patients.
Grace Pettengill ’21, of Cincinnati, organized the event, transforming the Sail Room into a temporary hair salon with five volunteer stylists from two downtown salons, Starz Studio and Anew Studio. Wigs made from real hair can be quite pricey — between $800 and $3,000 — putting them out of reach of many people going through chemotherapy.

Big THANK YOU to the brave and caring 16!
