Nordic skier Jake Adicoff ’18 was among seven Winter Olympians invited to throw out the opening pitch at Fenway Park April 5, 2018. Adicoff, who won a silver at at the Paralympics, was joined by four members of the gold medal-winning US women’s hockey team, as well as luge silver medallist Chris Mazdzer and fellow Paralympian Dan Cnossen, a gold medal-winning biathlete and former Navy SEAL who lost both his legs in Afghanistan.
Adicoff, who is studying math and computer science at Bowdoin, finished second in the 10-kilometer cross-country ski races for visually impaired athletes, with a time of 24:31.3.
