Founding Principles Chapter Two: Federalism from Bowdoin College on Vimeo.
Thomas Brackett Reed Professor of Government Andrew Rudalevige explained the concept of federalism in the latest edition of The Monkey Cage, the Washington Post‘s political science blog.
Quoting James Madison’s Federalist Papers, Rudalevige said the US has a government unlike any other because it is ‘”neither wholly national nor wholly federal” (by which he meant state-based) but rather “a composition of both.”‘
The Monkey Cage is publishing the “Founding Principles” video series every Tuesday over the summer.
