The Bowdoin College men’s lacrosse team advanced to the NESCAC final with a 10-8 victory against Trinity College in the conference semi-finals on Saturday at Tufts University’s Bello Field. Bowdoin (13-4) will play in its third NESCAC final on Sunday at noon against host Tufts, which was a 13-2 winner over Connecticut College in Saturday’s other NESCAC semi-final. The Bowdoin College men’s tennis team advanced to the NESCAC Championship for the first time since 2008 in a 5-3 win over second-seeded Williams College on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears (13-6) will face top-seeded and top-ranked Amherst (28-2) for the conference title at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Williams College. Fans can follow all of the action via live updates

Baseball: The Bowdoin College baseball team split a doubleheader with Middlebury on Saturday, taking a 5-2 win in game one before falling 2-1 in the second game. The Panthers (14-17) wrap-up their season on Sunday at Tufts, while the Polar Bears (22-16) host Suffolk in their regular season finale before opening play at the NESCAC Tournament next Friday.
Rowing: In an impressive display of strength, depth, and racing prowess, the Bowdoin Navy advanced all six of its entries into the Grand Finals, and once there, won four gold medals in the New England Rowing Championships Saturday at historic Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA. Bowdoin swept the varsity events with wins in the MV4, M2V4, WV4, and W2V4 to dominate the racing in fours. Complete results are posted here.
Softball: Middlebury starter Alexa Lesenskyj tossed 4.2 strong innings, out dueling sophomore counterpart Melissa DellaTorre in the Panthers’ 4-1 elimination game victory over Bowdoin at the 2012 NESCAC Softball Championship. After falling to the Jeffs in its opener on Friday, Bowdoin closes out its tournament run with a 28-14 overall mark.
Women’s Tennis: The Bowdoin College women’s tennis team was eliminated from contention at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship Saturday in a 5-1 loss to top-seeded Williams. The Polar Bears fall to 11-8 and will look to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament when selections are announced on Sunday.
Track and Field: Coby Horowitz won the 1500 meters and was part of Bowdoin’s winning 4×800 meter relay team on Saturday at the New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by MIT. The Bowdoin men placed fifth overall while the women took 12th. Complete results are available here.
