Bowdoin ‘Resets Jefferson’s Bar for Campus Architecture’ (Chronicle of Higher Ed) Archives

America’s college campuses have a whole lot of new buildings that were designed to blend in with earlier architecture. According to Lawrence Biemiller, most of them miss the mark and some are “cartoon-grade terrible.” Biemiller, a senior writer for The Chronicle of Higher Education, suggests that campus planners look to a few special campuses-including Bowdoin’s-for a primer on how to do it right.
