The From the Top program taped in Kanbar Auditorium, Studzinski Recital Hall, late last month will be broadcast on Maine Public Radio at 8 p.m. March 19 and across the country on NPR that same week. From the Top features performances and personal stories from young classical musicians from across the country.

The NPR program, hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O’Riley, was co-founded by Bowdoin alumnus Gerald Slavet “˜61. The Bowdoin broadcast will feature 19-year-old pianist and Bowdoin sophomore Allen Wong Yu from Cohoes, New York. Yu is an alumnus of From the Top, having appeared on the show when he was in high school.
