Slideshow: Bounding into Spring for Annual Dance Concert Archives

 

Both seasoned and novice dancers lit up the stage recently as they performed a range of modern dances choreographed by students and professors. An annual tradition at Bowdoin, the Spring Dance Concert by the Department of Theater and Dance features student dancers in a range of classes, from beginner courses to advanced independent studies.

Student choreographers included Alexandra Frosina ’14, Julie Hooper ’12, Elizabeth Huppert ’12, Natalie Johnson ’13, Iris McComb ’14, Amanda Minoff ’14, Mary Ridley ’12, George Ellzey ’13 and Andrea Heaston ’12, as well as students in Dance 212, “Intermediate Modern Dance Repertory; Dance 312, “Advanced Modern Dance Repertory; and Dance 112, “Beginning Modern Dance Repertory.” Faculty choreographers included Charlotte Griffin, assistant professor in theater and dance; Gwyneth Jones, senior lecturer in dance performance; and Nyama McCarthy-Brown, CFD postdoctoral fellow.
