Video: Bowdoin Student Breaks World Record for Grape Toss Archives

Trevor McDonald ’15 knew he was good at catching tossed grapes in his mouth, a pastime he liked to practice with friends. So, when he did some research and found that the world record for a self-tossed grape catch was a mere 27 feet, he figured he’d try to break it. But the night before McDonald was to attempt this, the record holder beat his own record, increasing the distance to 37 feet, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Undeterred, McDonald gathered four officials and a small crowd of cheerleaders in Farley Field House recently to try to outdo the record. Watch the video to see McDonald’s history-making grape catch.
