The growing theater company, Lunar Energy, run by Philip Gates ’08, Theo Salter ’07 and Katharine Sherman ’09, hits the stage this week with the new play, Christopher Marlowe’s Chloroform Dreams, written by Sherman and directed by Gates.
Gates and Sherman founded the company right after leaving the College. “We produced a play [Katharine] wrote while still at Bowdoin, for just four performances at a tiny theater in New York City,” recalls Gates. “Since then the scope of our activities has grown, we’ve done a few shows in the meantime and gotten some good press.” Salter, who originally came aboard as an actor, is now the company’s executive director.
Christopher Marlowe’s Chloroform Dream opened a three-week run Wednesday, April 18.
