October is now upon us and cool weather is becoming the norm in many parts of the country.

While many people are eagerly and anxiously talking about snow predictions from The Old Farmer’s Almanac- especially in New England where the Almanac been published since 1792 – the Mother Nature Network wondered if the venerable guide is still relevant to its original readership of serious gardeners.
