Men’s Basketball: The Bowdoin College men’s basketball team won the 2011 Hampton Inn Classic over host UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday, 66-61.

Women’s Basketball: The Bowdoin College women’s basketball team survived RPI, 65-61 in overtime, to claim the 2011 Women’s Basketball Tip-Off Tournament Presented by the Inn at Brunswick Station Saturday at Morrell Gymnasium.

Cross Country: Led by a 13th-place finish from sophomore Coby Horowitz, the Bowdoin College men’s cross country team placed 15th at the NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday afternoon in Wisconsin. Bowdoin’s two women’s qualifers, Madelena Rizzo and Olivia MacKenzie also competed in the women’s 6k championship.

Field Hockey: Bowdoin’s hopes of a repeat national championship were dashed in a 3-0 loss to Middlebury in the semifinals of the Division III Field Hockey Championship on Saturday at Nichols College.

Men’s Ice Hockey: The Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team scored twice in a 1:04 span late in the third period to earn a 3-3 tie at Williams in its season-opener on Saturday evening.

Women’s Ice Hockey: The fourth-ranked Plattsburgh State University women’s hockey team exploded for six goals in the third period to seal a 7-0 win at Bowdoin on Saturday at Watson Arena.
