Bowdoin will host its seventh annual Relay for Life Friday, April 20, a 12-hour event that kicks off at 6 p.m. at Farley Field House. Every year, the Bowdoin Relay for Life raises thousands of dollars to help the American Cancer Society celebrate, remember and fight back against the disease.
A group of students every year organizes the springtime fundraising event on campus as part of Bowdoin Volunteer Corps. They’re encouraging people to sign up a team of friends, dorm mates, teammates, staff or faculty. Besides the exercise people will get, the evening will include live music, games, food and a hypnotist.
