The Bowdoin College Athletic Department hosted a record number of participants at its annual “Girls and Women in Sports Weekend” February 11-12, 2012.
The event drew 225 girls, ages 5-14, and included Saturday’s “Luncheon with the Polar Bears” for middle schoolers and Sunday’s increasingly popular “Girls and Women in Sports Day” at Farley Field House. It’s the first time in the event’s six-year history that it drew more than 200 girls and young women.
