Men’s Basketball: The Bowdoin College men’s basketball team defeated the University of Maine-Farmington, 72-38, in the first game of the 2011 Hampton Inn Classic at the Tripp Athletic Center at UMass Dartmouth Friday night.

Women’s Basketball: The Bowdoin College women’s basketball team forced 38 Plymouth State turnovers and held the visitors to 20.8% shooting in a season-opening 80-27 victory at the Bowdoin Tip-Off Tournament Presented by the Inn at Brunswick Station on Friday evening.
