The Longfellows are performing with the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s “Magic of Christmas” shows Dec. 9-11 at Merrill Auditorium.

The a cappella group will have the stage to themselves for two numbers, then share the spotlight with the full orchestra and PSO Music Director Robert Moody, who takes a rare turn as singer, for a performance of “The Rose,” which is also to include the aerial stylings of Cirque de la Symphonie.

The Longfellows promoted their “Magic of Christmas” appearances on the Fox 23 program Good Day Maine with a performance of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.”
