Scientists Claim to Have Broken Speed of Light, Force Physics ‘Rethink’ (Telegraph) Archives

Albert Einstein stated that nothing could travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum, but researchers at the CERN lab in Switzerland say they’ve done just that – sending neutrinos past that 186,282-miles-per-second barrier.

Noting that Einstein’s theory underlies “pretty much everything in physics,” these results could force a “fundamental rethink.”
