Four Faculty Members Promoted to Full Professor
Four faculty members have been promoted from associate to full professor based on their excellence in teaching, distinction in research, and service to the College. They represent the departments of history, languages, visual arts and music.

Brown has been awarded a Maine Artist Fellowship by the Maine Arts Commission. Jackie’s work stems from an interest in nature, science, and a wholehearted belief in the arts to enrich the way we see, experience, and understand the world around us,” said the Commission.

Trustees Elect Members and Vice Chair, Recognize Dedicated Service to the College
The Bowdoin College Board of Trustees appointed a new vice chair, elected four new members, and reelected four others during meetings held on campus May 10-11, 2018, during which the board also recognized the valued contributions to the College by members of the faculty, staff, and board of trustees, and approved a number of renovation and construction projects.
