Polar Bears Win Pair of NESCAC Championships Archives

Field Hockey – Liz Clegg scored the game-winning goal with 1:48 remaining to give the field hockey team its seventh New England Small College Athletic Conference championship Sunday at Ryan Field, 2-1, over Middlebury College. Read Portland Press Herald coverage. The team has earned a first-round bye and will host a regional in the NCAA Division III Tournament pairings.

Volleyball – The volleyball team won its first NESCAC Championship in convincing fashion Sunday at Morrell Gymnasium, defeating Middlebury 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-17) for the league title. With its win, Bowdoin has assured a bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The complete field will be announced in a selection show at 11 a.m. on NCAA.com.
