Twenty Bowdoin students received Fulbright fellowships in 2017, making Bowdoin the second highest producer, among colleges, of student Fulbright fellows.
Indeed, Bowdoin was only one of 13 research universities and two colleges that had 20 or more students receive Fulbright grants.
The top producer for bachelor’s institutions last year was Bates College, with 23 student grants. The top three research institutions were Brown University, which had 39 Fulbright students, University of Notre Dame with 29, and Northwestern University, with 25.
