Photos: Students Fill Museum for Lively Hopper Event Archives

Students were recently invited to take in the Edward Hopper’s Maine exhibition amid a festive evening of music and food at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art.

“It was an elegant but very light-hearted and lively crowd,” noted Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Residential Life Mary Pat McMahon, who helped organize the event with the Museum’s Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Fellow Diana Tuite, and students Abbie Geringer ’14 and Lizzy Tarr ’12.

“The atmosphere hummed with a lovely kind of engaged, electric and inspired energy unlike anything else I’ve seen at Bowdoin. People lingered, talked, took in the whole museum and just seemed to bask in the feeling of being transported into this special place and time.” View a gallery of photos from the event.
