The series of events surrounding the inauguration of Clayton S, Rose as 15th president of Bowdoin College culminates with the Installation Ceremony, to take place at 10:30 a.m. in Farley Field House.
The event will be streamed live.
With an invocation delivered by Robert Ives ’69, Bowdoin’s Director of Religious and Spiritual Life, and a welcome by Board of Trustees Chair Deborah Barker ’80, the ceremony includes remarks by Professor of Physics Thomas Baumgarte, Bill de la Rosa ’16, Brunswick Town Council Chair Sarah Brayman, former U.S. Senator George Mitchell ’54, H’83, and Hanna Holburn Gray, Harry Pratt Judson Distinguished Service Professor Emerita of History and president emerita, University of Chicago.
Following the investiture into office, President Rose will deliver his inaugural address.
The Bowdoin Orchestra and Chamber Choir will perform during the ceremony.
