Senator George J. Mitchell ’54 will give a public talk at the College at 7 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011, in Pickard Theater, Memorial Hall.
Mitchell’s talk is presented in conjunction with the launch of the Bowdoin Library’s George J. Mitchell Oral History Project.
A short video about the project will also be screened, and the senator will take questions from the audience following his remarks.
Between 2008 and 2011, the Library conducted an oral history project to create a collection of spoken recollections and personal impressions from individuals who have known George J. Mitchell in a variety of ways. These oral histories document his life and career from early childhood onward, with particular emphasis on his public service to Maine and to the nation. Read more.
