A Polar Bear win against Connecticut College at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday would seal a rematch with the Cardinals in the NESCAC quarterfinals on Saturday, February 18.
Women’s Basketball: The Bowdoin College women’s basketball team dominated the second half of a 70-56 win over Wesleyan on Friday evening at Morrell Gymnasium. With the win, the Polar Bears improve to 17-6. Bowdoin will host Connecticut College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and can clinch the third seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament with a win.
Men’s Ice Hockey: The Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team scored four times in the second period and held off a late rally to defeat Wesleyan University, 6-4, on Friday evening at Sidney J. Watson Arena. The Polar Bears snap a brief two-game winless skid and improve to 12-5-3 (9-3-3 NESCAC). Bowdoin can clinch home ice for the NESCAC quarterfinals with at least a tie in Saturday’s home game against Trinity at 4:00 p.m.
Women’s Ice Hockey: Kayte Holtz assisted on all five Bowdoin goals and Tara Connolly made 22 saves to lead the Polar Bears to a 5-1 win over Hamilton College in a NESCAC game at Hamilton’s Russell Sage Rink on Friday evening.
