Harry’s New York Bar in Paris has a few distinctions; it was indeed an American bar that was dismantled and shipped to France more than 100 years ago. It is also said to be the birthplace of the Bloody Mary. And it’s where CBS Sunday Morning captured Doug Henry ’80 proudly proclaiming “I went to Bowdoin College” while pointing out the College pennant he and his family brought to the bar three years prior. Watch the segment and hear the Henry family’s review of the cocktail.
