Matt Roberts ’93 does not sit still long. Having wrapped up 22 years with The Late Show with David Letterman in May 2015, Roberts’ latest project was with another high-profile performer — Adele. Roberts was a producer on NBC’s Adele Live in New York City, which originally aired December 14, 2015, and is being rebroadcast Dec. 23 (check local listings).
“The thrill of working on the concert was twofold,” Roberts told the Bowdoin Daily Sun. “Adele is, of course, spectacularly talented and brought an incredible show to Radio City Music Hall. And, to have my first opportunity to take part in a project with Lorne Michaels — television innovator and icon that he is — was invaluable.”
Roberts says he’s now at work on an NBC comedy-variety show, also with Lorne Michaels, who is best known for producing Saturday Night Live, Late Night and since 2014, The Tonight Show. The new show, as yet untitled, is to debut in the spring.
