Women’s Volleyball: The Bowdoin College women’s volleyball team earned a weekend sweep of NESCAC opponents in a 3-1 win Saturday over Connecticut College. The victory is the 31st consecutive home win for the Polar Bears (13-1, 4-0 NESCAC) and moves them into sole possession of first place in the conference as the only remaining unbeaten in league play.

Women’s Rugby: The Bowdoin College women’s rugby team continued to steamroll through conference play with a 62-10 win over Middlebury on Saturday.

Men’s Cross Country: The Polar Bear men dominated a six-team field, placing the top six individual runners to earn the victory at the 2011 Bowdoin Cross Country Invitational at Pickard Field on Saturday.

Women’s Cross Country: The depth of the MIT women proved to be the difference in a ten-team women’s field. MIT took first place, while the Bowdoin women came in a close second at the 2011 Bowdoin Cross Country Invitational at Pickard Field on Saturday.

Men’s Tennis: The men’s tennis team couldn’t hold off Concordia College, losing 8-1 on Friday in New York.

Women’s Soccer: Ellery Gould ’12 scored the game-tying goal with under seven minutes remaining, tying the Bowdoin record for career goals, but the Polar Bears suffered another tough overtime loss, 2-1, at Connecticut College on Saturday.

Men’s Soccer: Kevin O’Brien scored in the 68th minute of action and sophomore keeper Casey Marini posted a shutout with six saves as Connecticut College earned a 1-0 NESCAC victory against Bowdoin College Saturday.

Field Hockey: The second-ranked Bowdoin College field hockey team scored three times in the first 25:36 to remain unbeaten in a 4-1 win at Connecticut College on Saturday.

Football: The Amherst College football team took advantage of four second-half Bowdoin turnovers in a 20-3 win in sloppy conditions at Pratt Field on Saturday. The Jeffs improve to 2-0 this season while the Polar Bears fall to 0-2 on the year.
