The Inaugural Symposium “The Power of the Liberal Arts,” held Oct. 16, 2015, began with a keynote address by Hanna Holborn Gray. Gray is the Harry Pratt Judson Distinguished Service Professor Emerita of History and president emerita of the University of Chicago. The symposium comprised two panels that discussed the intersections of the liberal arts, citizenship, work and commerce.
