Jane Chu, the chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, has been touring the country to see firsthand how art intersects with and supports community life. On August 10-12, Chu’s travels brought her to Maine, where she toured sites in Portland, Waterville, Lewiston and Brunswick, including the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. The current exhibition A Mind of Winter: Photographs by Abelardo Morell received NEA funding. Morell is a member of the Class of 1971.
