Members of the Class of 2000 and others will celebrate the life of Wilbur “Wil” Smith ’00 during Reunion Weekend with a gathering at 11 a.m., Sunday, May 31, 2015, in the atrium of Druckenmiller Hall.

Smith, who was memorialized in a letter to the Bowdoin Community by Dean of Student Affairs Tim Foster, died in February at the age of 46 following a long battle with cancer.

The Wil Smith Scholarship Fund at Bowdoin College will support students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership within their communities, with a preference for those who have participated in Maine’s Seeds of Peace program (where Smith served as counselor, coach, and associate director).

Those wishing to support the Wil Smith Scholarship Fund may contact Emily Moser at emoser@bowdoin.edu or 207-798-7184.
