After a few mild weeks, winter arrived in full force here with a snowstorm that dropped nine inches of snow — just in time for Bowdoin’s annual Winter Weekend festival, organized by Student Activities. To kick off the weekend, some brave students plunged into the ocean at Reid State Park. Throughout the weekend, snowballs were flung. Students were also treated to hot chocolate, cider and s’mores, a Borns concert and horse-drawn carriage rides. Hockey, track and basketball had home games, too.
