John Galusha ’20 — Galush to all who know him — shared his mad beatboxing skills with audiences across Maine before heading to Toronto, Canada, where he competed for North America’s championship title in the Great North Beatbox Battle.
Galusha took fourth the looping event and twelfth in solos. “It was an incredible experience,” he said. “I learned so much and can’t wait to go to another event.”
Galusha was interviewed for the WCSH’s newsmagazine 207, discussing the origins of his varied interests, among them: playing tuba, trombone, and baritone horn, as well as football, lacrosse, and wrestling.
Galush plans to spend the summer in Brunswick, when he’ll begin work on his first album.
