The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures and the Cinema Studies Program is honored to present once again the Tournées Francophone Film Festival. Films, in French with English subtitles, will be screened in Kresge Auditorium at 7:00 PM, with the exception of the matinée for The Rabbi’s Cat (see below). Films will be in French with English subtitles, and followed by a discussion led by members of the Bowdoin community. There will be an opening reception on February 26th, to which all are warmly invited to attend.

Friday, February 26: Girlhood [Bande de filles] (Céline Sciamma, 2014)
Saturday, February 27: Clouds of Sils Maria (Olivier Assayas, 2014)
Wednesday, March 2: Grigris (Mahamet Salah-Haroun, 2013)
Thursday March 3: Things of the Aimless Wanderer (Rhuhorahoza, 2015). Discussion and reception with Rwandan director Kivu Rhuhorahozaclouds-of-sils-maria-poster
Friday, March 4: Because I was a Painter [Parce que j’étais peintre] (Christophe Cognet, 2014)
Saturday, March 5: The Rabbi’s Cat [Le Chat et le Rabbin] (Antoine Delesvaux, Joann Sfar, 2011) The evening showing of the film will be in Kresge. There will also be a matinée for children at 10:30 AM in Beam Classroom, VAC.

Presented as part of the Bowdoin Francophone Film Festival, a part of the Tournees Festival, and made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the US, the Centre National de la Cinematographie et de l’Image Animee, and the Franco-American Cultural Fund.
