Arielle Saiber Book Wins Top Award, to Be Translated into Italian Archives

Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures Arielle Saiber says she’s “thrilled and hugely honored” to win a prestigious award for her latest book, Measured Words: Computation and Writing in Renaissance Italy (University of Toronto Press, 2017). Saiber is receiving “The Bridge” book award, so called because it’s meant as a bridge connecting Italian and American cultures. Her book, which analyzes the work of four Renaissance writer-scholars, garnered first prize in the American nonfiction category.

Saiber is being flown to Rome next month to accept the prize, which includes free translation costs so the book can also be published in Italian. Read more about Measured Words.
