Patricia Pye is unique in that she has touched the lives of just about every Bowdoin student over the past four decades.
Pye, who lives in Bath, came to Bowdoin’s Dining Service in December 1973 as an aide, and then worked as a summer custodian, a cashier, and more recently as a checker— always in the Moulton Union dining hall.
For her enthusiastic and ongoing dedication, the Alumni Council has chosen Pye to receive the 2014 Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff.
The award is presented each year to a faculty or staff member who has demonstrated loyalty and devotion to Bowdoin, not only in the fulfillment of their position at the College, but through active involvement in a broad number of activities and with a broad number of constituencies.
The Alumni Council Award for Faculty and Staff will be presented Saturday, May 31, 2014, during Reunion Convocation.
Registration for Reunion 2014 (May 29-June 1) opens in March.
