The electric bicycle company EVantage USA, Inc. — founded in 2010 by Adam Rand ’95 — is providing its Polaris bikes to a Super Bowl-related fundraiser organized by the football star Jim Brown.

The event, Legends of Football, will be held Jan. 29-30, and will benefit programs supported by Brown’s nonprofit Amer-I-Can Foundation.

Rand said his company is donating “some of our most advanced, sophisticated [bicycle] models,” which sell between $2,500 and $4,800. The bicycles will be given away in promotional events in Phoenix in advance of the Super Bowl.

Rand started EVantage five years ago to “capture the growing opportunity for development in of green transportation technology.” The Massachusetts-based company markets a line of electric bicycles manufactured under the Polaris brand.
