INTERNET REVIEWS

Information for Internet Resources Reviewers

Thanks for your interest in being a reviewer for the Internet Review column in College & Research Libraries News. This page provides information on becoming a reviewer and submitting reviews. Be sure to also check the guidelines at the bottom of this page.

*Selection of resources:
You may at any time suggest a resource that you would like to review. Be sure to search the archives to assure that the site has not already been reviewed. Also, depending on your area of interest, we may send you resources that we are interested in having reviewed. If you are unable to review the source, please let us know as soon as possible.

*Time frame:
In general you will have three weeks to complete a review. Reviews should be submitted to us before the 18th of each month. The time between submission and appearance of the review in C&RL News varies but generally runs between eight to ten weeks. We will inform you when your review will appear.

*Editing:
We may edit submissions for grammar, spelling and conformity to style. We may also need to make additions/changes in length if the review is too long or too short. If we receive any comments regarding the review, we will send them on to you.

*Copyright:
Reviews will be signed. Copyright will revert to ALA. A copyright permission form is required prior to publication. The review will also be posted and indexed in the archives, which are to be found at http://purl.oclc.org/NET/Internet_Reviews/.
