Natalie Johnson ’13 started ballet dancing when she was six, and has trained in the classical methods of Vaganova and Cecchetti. Although she comes from a traditional and somewhat elite ballet background, Johnson strives to make ballet accessible. Since her sophomore year, she’s been teaching ballet classes to any Bowdoin student who wants to learn. Johnson also leads the campus dance group Arabesque, which she says is both a performance troupe and a teaching club.
