Sociology major Bill De La Rosa ’16 recently attended the ESS annual meeting in New York City. As a presenter at the conference, Bill was able to participate in the year’s theme “Crossing Borders”. His paper presentation was titled “Undocumented Migrant Strategies for Navigating the Arizona-Sonora Border”. Bill conducted research in Nogales, Mexico during the summer of 2014 and was one of four undergraduate students selected to be a part of an undergraduate roundtable discussion.
Financial support for travel was provided by an Enrichment Grant from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
