Emma Chow conducted research over winter break 2015, in San Francisco examining issues of inclusivity using qualitative and quantitative components.  She conducted participant observation studies at various public oriented places along San Francisco’s waterfront to measure how many people visit and what they do.  She also examined types of adjacent land use and their connections.

Financial support for travel was provided by an Enrichment Grant from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
