Hi i’m from Saskatchewan Canada , and have read your study about declining tree swallow population, 4 years ago 2 of my friends and I put up 130 tree swallow bird houses Year 1 we had 30 pair nest ,year 2 we had 80 pair nest ,year 3 all boxes were full besides 3 that the house sparrows took over ,this year all boxes were used by swallows ,maybe your swallow population was hit by some bad storms ,doing great here.

The Poynter Institute is funded by Charles Koch and its purpose is to spread right-wing ideology on college campuses. Does Bowdoin College approve of exposing its journalism students to this kind of manipulation? My daughter just joined the paper’s staff and I will warn her about accepting their “support.”
I am disappointed that your announcement didn’t acknowledge the true source of the “award.”

I am so excited to see this initiative from Bowdoin. I have been in public service for the majority of my professional career as a fisheries biologist. It is so important to the future of our country to get qualified people who are committed to making the world a better place. Public service happens nationwide, there are many of us not in DC still contributing and if we can get involved in this effort please let us know.
