Comedian Hari Kondabalu ’04 is performing at Aura in Portland, Maine, on August 30th, as part of a national tour (plus some stops in Canada).

The character of Apu, which is voiced by actor Hank Azaria, is described by the network as Kondabolu’s “longstanding nemesis.” Among the documentary’s interview subjects is comedienne Whoopi Goldberg who said Apu’s character has all the characteristics of a minstrel.
