A groundbreaking ceremony for the College’s Roux Center for the Environment, a building to support interdisciplinary environmental scholarship, is to take place at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017.

The center, which will be located at the corner of College Street and Harpswell Road, is funded by a lead gift from David and Barbara Roux. It will bring faculty from many academic disciplines together to encourage collaboration and creativity in the teaching and scholarship of the environment and further strengthen Bowdoin’s position as a preeminent institution in this area of study.
