During my years at Bowdoin (I graduated in 1957), arctic studies were only a “gleam in the eye”. You might be interested in my recent donation to the Art Museum – a collection of antique prints of polar bears dating back to the late 17th century. Anne or Frank Goodyear can show you the prints (but I never found one of Peary!) Good luck on completing your project. Kind regards.
